Kostanica

Kostanica is a quiet, fisherman’s village, near the entrance of the Risan Bay, close to the narrow moreuz Verige.

It is located just opposite to the old town of Perast, which makes its position unique.

Upon arrival you are struck by a dramatic fjord with dark massive mountains that stand contrast to the clear water that contains endless tones of blue.

It seems like the elements of the Boka scenery compete among each other to captivate your gaze, because everywhere you look you’ll get inspired : the medevial town of Perast, with its stone palaces, white shutters, narrow stone paved streets, where you can almost feel the spirit of fearless sailors, and in the middle of the Bay rise two church islands St. George and Our lady of the Rocks.

The early morning wakes you with the sound of seagulls, while the ships entering the fjord announce their presence by ship sirens, saluting to old towns, who respond with church bells, a century old tradition.

Upon arrival you are welcomed by the peace and hospitality of people living in Kostanica.

From then on your senses are lured with clear, irresistible water surrounded by fresh springs pouring from the mountain rock, fresh air with a smell of lavander and herbs, and magnificent chestnuts, oleanders and olive trees lingering in the breeze.

Boka Gardens in the Bay of Risan

For the actively - inclined the Boka offers nautical tourism thanks to numerous marines and stone piers. Among popular sports there is kayaking, water skiing, diving (we organize diving courses ) as well as recreational tourism, like hiking, sport hiking, alpinism, and speleology. Tennis fans can use the tennis court, which is perched in the “The Boka Gardens” resort, so that while exercising you can experience the amazing sea view.
Adrenaline lovers could join one of our day trips to the Tara River for exciting rafting.

This captivating nature of Kostanica is, however quite untamable which probably explains why it remained untouched for all these periods of time.

Gospa od Skrpjela from boat

The rocky terrain is covered with dense forests and is extremely steep as building ground. For this reason stone terraced houses with spacious balconies shaded by large chestnut and olive trees define the architecture of the Boka Gardens resort.
Sheltered by this wilderness Kostanica enjoys its privacy while being just a short ride away from all the old coastal towns : the distance to Tivat is 7km, 25km to Budva, 15km to Herceg Novi, 20km to Kotor, 55km to Dubrovnik , 35 km to St. Stephan and the ferryboat Kamenari - Lepetani is just 3km away.
Kostanica as a part of the Boka Kotor Bay is listed in Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor, which from the year 1979 is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
